Don't have time to play a one day or weekend tournament? Try a Do-It-Yourself Tournament. With DIY Tournaments, players will schedule and complete matches on their own time at a location of their choice within the region and report the scores back to the tournament director. Matches may be played outside the region if both players agree. Each round of the tournament takes place over about a week’s time with the semis and finals of all divisions played at a single location.

Registration: September 17, 2020 - October 4, 2020

Play Begins on October 12, 2020

All matches finish by December 6, 2020

Men’s and Women’s NTRP 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 Singles

Draw Format

Round Robin Draw with Playoffs – Players will contact their opponents to schedule a time and location to play their round robin matches between Monday, October 12 and Sunday, November 22 and report scores to the tournament. Playoff matches will be hosted by USTA NorCal on December 5 at a location to be determined in the area of where the tournament is being played. 

Match Format

2 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.

• For round robins rounds, opponents can choose whether to use regular scoring or no-ad. If opponents cannot agree, regular scoring will be used.
• For Semi and Final rounds, regular scoring will be used.  

DIY Tournament matches will count for ranking points.

Sportsmanship

Matches will be played unofficiated.  Good sportsmanship is required.  

Awards

Awards will be presented for 1st and 2nd place.
