During the days and times when we're not using the site for match play, you can try reserving a court at the following locations:


Galbraith Tennis Center: You can reserve a practice court at Galbraith Tennis Center by calling (253) 533-1145 or clicking HERE. You must create an account when reserving a court for the first time - you will need Club Automation to sign up, so it is preferable to call. Court fees are based on 90 minutes of play and vary based on peak or non-peak times. Visit to learn more. Reservations can be made 2 days in advance for non-members and 7 days in advance for members.


Sprinker Tennis Center: You can reserve a court at Sprinker Tennis Center by calling (253) 531-6300. Reservations can be made in person or over the phone up to 6 days in advance, with a credit or debit card required at time of reservation. Card will be charged for no shows and future phone reservations will not be accepted. To see the court fees, visit


Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club: Players may use any open, non-USTA Sectionals courts from Thursday, September 26th – Sunday, September 29th. They are required to check in with the main office so that we know who is using the courts. The office staff will be able to assist the players in which courts might be available to them. With the exception of primetime courts, there are usually open courts to practice on.

Jupiter Tennis Center
is open to the public for court bookings for USTA practice play throughout the days leading up to the event from 9:30am-9:30pm every day. Please call front desk at 253-549-1945 to check court availability and schedule 90 minutes pay and play practice courts. Visit to learn more.


If the weather is nice, here are some outdoor courts (on a first-come, first-serve basis) that you could try. Keep in mind school courts are NOT an option during school hours:


Outdoor Courts Near Galbraith & Tacoma Lawn:

  • Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club - 6 outdoor courts available for players to use, if not being used by a member. They cannot be reserved in advance, and you must check in with the main office first.

  • Sprinker Tennis Center - 6 outdoor courts available for players to use. They may be reserved in advance for a fee of $5.00/hour, or free of charge on a first come, first served basis during the event.

MATCH COURTS INFO (see Court Sites for map)

  • Galbraith Tennis Center (1680 S Mildred St Suite B, Tacoma, WA 98465): 6 indoor tennis courts - located north of Fred Meyer in back parking lot. See entrance instructions.
    • Courts not available for USTA until 7am on Friday & Saturday, and 7:30am on Sunday - these hours are specific to this weekend's USTA match play only.
    • Players must sign facility waiver at Tournament Desk before team's first match .
    • If you're interested in a team lesson prior to the event, email GTC's Katie O'Riley at
    • If you plan to bring spectators, please note there is limited viewing at this location.
    • No alcohol, smoking, or vaping allowed.
    • Water and Gatorade available for purchase at Proshop. No food for purchase, so plan accordingly.
    • USTA will provide ice on site.
    • Parking is available on the front and back side of the building. Please do not park in Defy or Sylvan's parking spaces. Additional parking is available behind Fred Meyer.
    • No showers on site. Men's and Women's bathroom available for changing.
    • Please be respectful of club facilities and members.
  •  Sprinker Tennis Center (14824 C St S, Tacoma, WA 98444): using 4 indoor tennis courts
    • Doors and courts will open for USTA at 7:00am on Friday match day. Saturday doors open at 9:00am, but courts not available until 11:00am.
    • 4th court has blended pickleball lines, which we will be using.
    • Towels available in Pro Shop for purchase ($5 each). Otherwise, bring your own.
    • Snack Bar is open 11:45am-1:45pm on Saturday.
    • Vending machines on-site, and refrigerator & microwave for spectator/player use.
    • Plenty of parking available.
    • Access to ice machine - ask pro shop.
    • No smoking, vaping, or alcohol allowed during weekend.
    • Please be respectful of club facilities and members.
  • Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club (502 N Borough Rd, Tacoma, WA 98403): using 2 indoor tennis courts
    • Courts available for USTA matches at 7:00am on Friday and Saturday.
    • All players will be expected to sign a waiver/sign-in form prior to playing.
    • Ice machine available while supplies last each day - request from USTA staff person.
    • Parking is limited to 21 vehicles. Street parking is allowed in the neighborhood. Be courteous to the neighbors and do not block driveways.
    • Snack Bar with limited snacks/beverages available.
    • Gym is off-limits to any non-member/guest of this club.
    • Locker rooms and showers are available for players. Players must provide their own towels.
    • Please be respectful of club facilities and members.
  • Jupiter Tennis Center (2112 Meridian Ave E, Edgewood, WA 98371): using 6 indoor tennis courts
    • There is a capacity limit at this facility. Players/spectators may have to wait outside the building until the number of people meets city code.
    • On Friday, September 27, USTA matches are scheduled from 8am-5pm. Doors will be open from 7:15am and courts available for USTA sectionals participants.
    • On Saturday, September 28, USTA matches are scheduled from 1pm-10pm. Doors will be open at 8:00am – however facility will be available for USTA sectionals only from 1:00pm on.
    • Limited spectator viewing availability.
    • All players must sign Jupiter facility waiver at Tournament Desk before the team's first match.
    • No alcohol, vaping or smoking allowed anywhere inside or outside the premises.
    • Parking is limited and available on the south side and west side (behind the facility). Open area across the facility or near the house in front is privately owned and is not available for public parking. Additional parking available across the street in the strip mall. Please cross only at the designated cross walks if parking at the strip mall.
    • Recommend carpooling as an option to arrive for the matches.
    • Water, Gatorade and Protein bars are available for purchase. No colored liquids or food permitted on the courts.
    • No other food options or food re-heating options present at this time. Restaurants, pizza places and grocery stores within a mile east of the facility.
    • Restrooms available and can be used for attire changing. No showers or locker rooms present on-site.
    • Three courts on one side and three courts on the other side with the tournament desk and viewing space set in the middle for convenience.
    • Court # 6 court has blended pickleball lines.
    • Jupiter hopes you enjoy playing at the facility as much as they enjoyed building the facility. Have fun, play well and good luck to all participants.

T-Shirts: Each rostered player will receive a T-shirt. These will be polyester fabric in both men's and women's styles. Sizes are men's S-2XL and women's XS-2XL.  Captains will pick up shirts at their first match.

Social Media Contest: Post a photo of you showing your section pride by representing your section color in fun and creative ways! PNW is gold. Use #ustaleague in the caption, and tag @ustapnw for a chance to win a prize.


Sportsmanship Recognition: If you experience a great act of sportsmanship by your opponent(s), please share it at the tournament desk. Best sportsmanship from the weekend will receive a $100 Tennis Warehouse gift card.

Photographer: USTA plans to have a professional photographer taking photos at certain sites and times during the event. In lieu of the Publicity Waiver forms, we will have a media waiver release sign at each court site which states will state that, by entering the court site premises, you agree to be photographed and/or filmed by the non-profit United States Tennis Association Pacific Northwest (USTA PNW) in connection with your participation in this event and that the USTA PNW will own any and all rights in such photography and film of you.


Tennis Balls: Penn is the official ball sponsor of USTA League. USTA PNW has agreed to invest funds to use Pro Penn Marathon balls for all Section Championships.


Bananas: USTA PNW will order bananas for each tournament site throughout the weekend


Ice: USTA PNW will supply ice to cool beverages


Awards: Champions and Finalists will receive awards for all rostered players. Champions will also receive a USTA PNW Section Championship banner.



Bring Water Container: Players and spectators must bring their own water container. Water will be available for refilling a container, but there may not be any bottles or cups available on site.

Follow Host Site Rules: We are all guests of these facilities. Please pick up all trash and be respectful of management or staff. They also have their own rules in place as to what is acceptable at their facility so please obey any posted rules.
