Adult Tournaments

There are an array of adult and senior tournaments offered through the USTA, whether it’s a local tournament where you can compete with area players or represent Team USA in a senior international competition.

Here’s a quick look at all the different ways that you can play USTA adult tournaments:

Local Events

USTA-sanctioned tournaments are held throughout the country, which you can enter based on age (open, 35 and over, 40 and over, etc.) or ability (NTRP rating). Ranking points are awarded at these events and go toward your sectional or district ranking.

National Events

The USTA also offers tournament play at the national level. You can compete in singles, doubles or family divisions, at all age levels, and on hard courts, clay courts, grass courts or indoor. These tournaments award national ranking points.

Senior International Competition

For those top-level players who have always dreamed of representing the U.S. on the world stage, there are senior international events – the Young Seniors, Senior, and Super-Senior World and Individual Championships. These events are age-division events – ranging from 35 and over to 80 and over – and are the senior equivalents to the Fed Cup and Davis Cup competitions.
