Intro to Play

Whether your child is picking up a tennis racquet for the first time or looking to continue their passion for the sport, there are plenty of play opportunities.

From elementary to high school, tennis can be played at any age and is open to all levels of play. Youngsters can ask their teachers about how they can start playing in their PE class or whether there are after-school programs they can join.

Outside of the classroom, there are various other opportunities for elementary- and high school-aged children, both competitive and non-competitive tracks are available depending on the ability and needs of the individual player.

10 & Under Tennis

10 & Under Tennis is designed for kids to learn, rally and play quickly.  It uses smaller courts, slower bouncing balls and age-appropriate equipment, making the game more enjoyable and rewarding. For more information, visit www.netgeneration.com.

Midwest Youth Team Tennis

Anyone can start playing tennis, no matter their age or skill level! We’re introducing the greatest game to a whole new generation. Tennis is more fun and easier than ever. With smaller courts, shorter tennis racquets and balls that bounce slower and lower, beginner players – especially kids – can learn more easily and quickly.

When your child plays tennis, they will achieve greater physical activity and feel successful right from the start because playing tennis incorporates aerobic exercise, improves balance, agility and hand-eye coordination, and teaches self-confidence and self-assurance.
