Junior Team Events
National Team Events'
The USTA holds several team touranments for junior players, including Zone Team Championships (Zonals) and the Battle of the Sections. Below, learn more about how USTA Missouri Valley athletes can participate in these events.
Zone Team Championships (National Level 2) - July 28 - 31
The 2022 USTA Zone Team Championships will be held for the 12s and 14s age divisions only and will be awarded Level 2 ranking points. This year, instead of having teams of players from the same Section, the players who are accepted into the tournament will be waterfalled onto teams based on their USTA National Standing. Players who participate in this event will be guaranteed four (4) singles and four (4) doubles matches over the course of the tournament.

12s Age Division - Omaha, Nebraska
A total of 12 USTA Missouri Valley players will be ordered and accepted by the Combined National Standings List as of June 29th to compete at the 12s USTA Zone Team Championships held at the Koch Family Tennis Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Juniors from USTA Intermountain, USTA, Northern, and USTA Texas will also participate.

14s Age Division - Arlington, Texas
A total of 20 USTA Missouri Valley players will be ordered and accepted by the Combined National Standings List as of June 29th to compete at the 12s USTA Zone Team Championships held at the Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas. Juniors from USTA Intermountain, USTA, Southwest, and USTA Texas will also participate.
Battle of the Sections (National Level 1) - July 31- August 3
For the 16's and 18's, a new Level 1 Team Championship, called “The Battle of the Sections” will take place as a lead-in for the USTA National Championships.
USTA Missouri Valley will send a team composed of eight (8) players, four (4) of which will be 16-and-under players and the remaining four (4) will be 18-and-under players. Together, these eight players will play as one team and participate in four (4) singles and (4) doubles matches over the course of the tournament. The June 29th Combined National Standings list will be used for selections.
