Top junior team tennis squads  from across the Southwest will meet in Albuquerque, New Mexico, August 3-5 for the USTA Southwest 2018 Junior Team Tennis Championships. 

This annual section championship brings together top team tennis talent from various spots across the Southwe, each competing in team competition for a shot at a section championship and the right to move on to the USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships.

Four divisions of play will take place at this year's event, including divisions for 12 & Under Intermediate,  14 & Under Intermediate,  18 & Under Intermediate, and 18 & Under Advanced. 

Section winners in  the 14s and 18s intermediate and advanced divisions will qualify for the USTA Junior Team Tennis National Championships held in November of this year in Orlando, Fla.  At the Section Championships in Albuquerque, teams compete in co-ed play in a games-won format to decide each match. ADVERTISEMENT Team matches are five lines of play in boys singles, boys doubles, girls singles, girls doubles and mixed doubles.  

Play will begin on Friday August 3, with matches beginning at approximately noon. Teams will get their final schedules at the captain's meeting, which will take place just before play begins. Play should conclude around 2 pm on Sunday, weather permitting.

We will be using Jerry Cline Tennis Center for the 2018 USTA Southwest Jr. Team Tennis Championships.  has 18 lit hard courts for championship play.

This award-winning facility is Albuquerque's largest tennis center, and has been a home to Tennis on Campus Section Championships.
Jerry Cline Tennis Center hosts several USTA adult and junior tournaments, as well as the Southwest Junior Closed and past USTA Southwest League Championships and Junior Team Tennis Championships.

• Each captain to register and pay $150 team fee on Tennis Link
