Celebrating 2020 Community Champions
On Dec. 2, the USTA's Celebrating Community Champions virtual event honored 2020 award-winners in a variety of service-based categories (watch the full event video below). In the absence of a 2020 USTA Annual Meeting, each honoree received a surprise virtual call from a tennis legend as a thank-you for their contributions to growing the game of tennis.
Great tennis champions like Billie Jean King, the McEnroe brothers and the Bryan brothers were all a part of the event, which also saw former USTA Chairman and President Katrina Adams honored with the International Tennis Hall of Fame's Samuel Hardy Award, presented to a USTA volunteer in recognition of long and outstanding service at the at the national level to the sport of tennis.

Eve Kraft Comminity Service Award: Tim Blenkiron (Las Vegas)
Janet Louer Junior Team Tennis Organizer of the Year: Sadie Reiners (Hastings, Minnesota)
Member Organization of the Year: City of Palm Beach Gardens Tennis and Pickleball Center (Florida)
NJTL Founders' Service Award: Danice Brown (Beaverton, Oregon)
Ralph W. Westcott Family of the Year: David & Lisa Minihan family (Edmond, Oklahoma)
Seniors' Service Award: Jeff Gray (Mobile, Alabama)
Volunteer Exceptional Service Award (more than 10 years of service): Joyce Dreslin (Arlington, Texas)
Volunteer Exceptional Service Award (up to 10 years of service): Christine Costamagna (San Rafael, California)
