Join or host a national ‘Hit to Be Fit Day’ event on May 10

April 17, 2025

The second annual National Hit to Be Fit Day, celebrating National Tennis Month, will be Saturday, May 10. Hit to Be Fit features Red Ball Tennis and Cardio Tennis Triples and will be a nationwide celebration of the health and wellness benefits of tennis.

A featured Hit to Be Fit event will be held on the courts at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., but the goal is to also have 300 facilities across the country offering a Hit to be Fit event on May 10, too.

“This exciting event unites the tennis community with fun, high-energy activities, including Cardio Tennis Triples and Red Ball Tennis,” says Michele Krause, the Cardio Tennis national consultant for the USTA, who has been involved in Cardio Tennis since its inception 20 years ago. “Cardio Tennis Triples is a fast-paced inclusive format that showcases how ‘tennis is fitness.’”

To find a Hit to Be Fit/Cardio Tennis event near you, visit the National Tennis Month site here. Hit to be Fit events are 1.5 to 2 hours long. Last year’s inaugural Hit to be Fit event saw 200 facilities across the country hosting more than 3,000 participants.

Tennis providers looking to host a Hit to Be Fit event in their areas should visit this site. When you sign up to host an event, you’ll receive access to a one-hour online course to learn how to run the event. (After course completion, you’ll receive a certificate to submit to the RSPA or PTR.) You’ll also have access to other complimentary Cardio Tennis courses.

You’ll also receive instruction on how to register your Hit to Be Fit event in Serve Tennis if you desire. Registering with Serve Tennis will make you eligible for incentives such as a $100 gift card to Midwest Racquet Sports and your event will be searchable through marketing efforts at USTA.com.
