Sarah Casteel Named

Team USA wheelchair tennis player and coach, Sarah Casteel, was named the 2018 PTR Wheelchair Professional of the Year in February by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) at the 2018 PTR International Symposium.
The Greenville, S.C. resident has been a stalwart in the wheelchair tennis community.
Casteel's career began at the University of Texas - Arlington, where she comptetively played tennis on a full wheelchair tennis scholarship.
She won back-to-back National Collegiate Wheelchair Tennis Championships in 2004 and 2005, and after graduating turned pro.
She reached a career-high of world No. 27 in the ITF wheelchair rankings and represented the United States in the Netherlands at the World Team Cup.
After playing for 15 years, Casteel moved to the other side of the net, and began to coach.
She was insturmental of the start of an adaptive tennis program in Charleston, S.C., and is currently head coach of the Kroc Center Wheelchair Tennis Team, a program she also helped start.
