USTA announces teams for 2024 ITF Masters 30, 35 & 40 World Team Championships

July 16, 2024

On Tuesday, the USTA announced the players who will represent the United States at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Masters 30, 35 & 40 World Team Championships, which will be held August 4-9 in Lisbon, Oerias and Estoril, Portugal.

The event will see a total of 101 teams—from nations in every region across the globe—compete in Portugal to become world champions. Three American teams will look to bring home titles after finishing with two silver and a bronze medals from last year’s event in Manavgat, Antalya, Turkey.  The American teams that claimed medals last year were the Men’s 30 Cup (silver), Women’s 30 Cup (bronze) and the Young Cup (silver) squads.

The tournament is the Masters equivalent of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup competitions, with top American tennis players representing their country in the 30-, 35- and 40-and-over age groups.

Following the ITF Masters World Team Championships, the ITF Masters Individual Championships will be held August 10-17 at the same site.
