Eight Players Win 2026 New England Junior Sectionals Titles

WESTBOROUGH, MA - USTA New England's premier junior tournament, Junior Sectionals, took place June 20-24 at multiple sites throughout Greater Boston.

 

Babson College served as the primary host site, with additional matches played at Newton South High School, The Roxbury Latin School, Gallagher Courts in Lexington and, due to rain, the Longfellow Clubs in Wellesley, Natick and Wayland.

 

The region's top 256 junior players competed for the title of New England Sectionals Champion across the Boys' and Girls' 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s divisions.

 

Champions:
  • Girls' 18s: Olivia Lin def. Rachel White, 6-3, 6-4 (Lin captured her fourth consecutive Junior Sectionals title, having previously won the Girls' 12s, 14s and 16s divisions.)

  • Boys' 18s: Thomas Sirichantho def. Jack Babka, 6-2, 6-1

  • Girls' 16s: Chloe Anthony def. Annie Tan, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2

  • Boys' 16s: Miles Olmeda def. Luca de Calice, 7-6(5), 6-1

  • Girls' 14s: Valentina Arlati def. Heidi Wang, 6-3, 6-2

  • Boys' 14s: Ayan Ghael def. Louie Lu, 6-4, 6-4 (Ghael won his second consecutive Junior Sectionals title after claiming the Boys' 12s championship in 2025.)

  • Girls' 12s: Lia Leon def. Alaina Wilkie, 6-3, 6-0

  • Boys' 12s: Colin Pental def. Eric Lee, 6-3, 6-0
