WESTBOROUGH, MA- USTA New England Provider Appreciation Month was once again a success. For the second consecutive year, USTANE dedicated the month of April to providers to thank them for their dedication to growing the sport of tennis in their local communities.
“Our tennis providers are out there day in and day out delivering and promoting our great sport. We see them as our greatest partners, and to us, it’s important to celebrate that relationship,” said Alex Wesley, USTA New England Director of Marketing.
In celebrating the relationship, the USTANE ran three Provider Lunch and Learn networking events in the greater Portland, Nashua and Hartford areas. Each event featured local tennis experts as guest presenters, who spoke on the importance of utilizing tennis ambassadors to grow a business. The Lunch and Learns also featured a hot button topic session, raffles and networking opportunities.
“These events bring likeminded people together who are very passionate about the sport, and when you do that, you never know what you’re going to uncover,” said Angelo Rossetti, USTA CT President and Tennis Director at the Westin Racquet Club in Westin, CT. “This is about the relationships you build and working together to inspire others to take up tennis and spread the word of our sport. If you help someone else grow, and then you grow in your area, it helps everyone. They say, a rising tide lifts all boats, and I do believe that.”
USPTA and PTR members received continuing education credits for attending an event.
April brought together tennis providers of all types, from club owners and tennis directors, to parks and recreation staff and CTA and NJTL leaders.
In total, USTA New England reached hundreds of providers throughout the month.
As a monthlong offer to not just providers, but all USTA members, USTANE sponsors, New Balance, Ame & Lulu, KYSEK and Clutch Towels each gave special deals and discounts.
Provider Appreciation Month wrapped up with a raffle on April 30, which saw Massachusetts high school tennis coach, Jen Bishop, take home a pair of tickets to the 2019 US Open.
