Jared Flick Named PTR Massachusetts Member of the Year
Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) presented its annual awards this week during the PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes more than 40 educational presentations for tennis coaches, will be held February 11-15, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Jared Flick, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, has been named PTR Member of the Year for the State. This award is presented to a member who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR.
Flick started his career in 2008, as Director of Junior Tennis at Greater Midland Community Tennis Center in Michigan. In 2015, he relocated to Massachusetts to serve as Director of Tournament Training at Bosse Sports. There he rebuilt the Performance Program to one of best competitive in the area. Bosse players have won high school, sectional and national championships. ADVERTISEMENT Ten reached Top 10 national rankings. Program players have earned scholarships to play at Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Amherst, Swarthmore, Colby, Franklin and Marshall, Indiana University and Tufts. Bosse players have competed in all super nationals, Eddie Herr, Orange Bowl and ITF tournaments. In addition, Flick is actively involved in USTA Early Development Camps and Play Days. He is a District and Zonals Coach, and USTA Spring Team Nationals Coach.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 16,500 members in 125 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and serving tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
