ALAMEDA, Calif. – Aug. 30, 2018 – A tennis-filled weekend with the US Open Finals and a party at Golden Gate Park, got even more exciting with a Cardio Tennis Training Courses, which offers brand new teaching techniques on and off the court. Located in Danville, Calif., on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 9-10, the courses will be held in conjunction with “The Party for Golden Gate Park Tennis Center” on Saturday that will feature a Cardio Tennis class, and a live screening of the US Open Women’s Final.

Cardio Tennis is a cross-over fitness and tennis program that was started by the Tennis Industry Association, in conjunction with the U.S. Tennis Association in the summer of 2005. ADVERTISEMENT Modeled after the fitness industry, Cardio Tennis checks all the fitness-trend boxes and was the first one to use heart rate monitors 13 years ago. This course will consist of three 45-minute sessions on two regular-sized courts, which will be divided into three shorts courts. All the participants will learn to teach with red balls.

Along with the Training Courses, Global Education Director Cardio Tennis Michelle Krause will lead a Cardio Tennis session during the FREE “The Party for Golden Gate Park Tennis Center” on September 8. “We are thrilled to be offering Cardio Tennis during the ‘Let the Games Begin’ event at Golden Gate Park. Cardio Tennis will add another level of excitement to the event because it is a ‘party on the court’ and this day is a celebration of all things tennis and beautiful Golden Gate Park,” Krause said. “For those who participate in Cardio Tennis, they will experience heart-pumping fitness, high-calorie burn, and game improvement.”

Join the fun tennis-filled weekend by registering for FREE for “The Party for Golden Gate Park Tennis Center,” or learn to teach one of the most high energy and calorie-burning classes you will ever see. Cardio Tennis is also part of the Love Your Fit campaign, USTA NorCal’s initiative to show how fun and easy it is to fit tennis into your lifestyle.
