HONORING A LOVED ONE
As a child, Felipe was always giving, always trying to make friends no matter where they were from. This continued into adulthood, always giving and never judging. He was an outstanding tennis player. At age 3, Felipe picked up his first tennis racket. Playing number 1 in High School and continued playing throughout adulthood as a member of the United States Tennis Association.
In December 2014, Felipe went to the emergency room complaining of severe stomach pains. After numerous tests, Felipe was diagnosed with Acute Lymyphocitic Leukemia (ALL). After initial treatment Felipe was told he would need a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately his two brothers were not a match so they turned to the Be The Match Registry where 8 potential donors were found. On July 29, 2015 Felipe went through his transplant but following complications Felipe sadly passed away on November 12th, 2015. ADVERTISEMENT
