NorCal Staff | February 1, 2017
USTA Player Development (USTAPD) is pleased to announce an opportunity for recent college graduates to focus on professional development through a Fellowship in Professional Coaching. USTAPD will select two - four fellows who will train to be among the next generation of leaders in tennis coaching and related fields through an integrative approach that focuses on the philosophy and framework of high performance coaching. The Fellowship builds on PD’s strength and experience to educate a new generation of Tennis Professionals.
The Fellowship is structured to provide significant experiential training and opportunity for independent research in the field of professional tennis coaching not typically available to someone at the entry level. Fellows will become fully immersed in Player Development through weekly gatherings with PD staff and coaches and through the examination of issues currently affecting American Tennis. ADVERTISEMENT
This stipend-based program is for an eleven week duration (June 2016 – September 2016) and does not lead to a full-time position with USTAPD. Applications for the Fellowship will be accepted through the USTA website with a deadline of March 25, 2016.
