JOHN 'JACK' FOSTER NAMED PTR
TEXAS MEMBER OF THE YEAR

Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) presented its annual awards today during the 2018 PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes more than 40 educational presentations for tennis coaches, is underway February 13-16, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Jack Foster, of Sugar Land, Texas, has been named PTR Member of the Year for the State. This award is presented to a PTR member who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR. A member since 1996, Foster is a PTR Certified Professional.
Since 1991, Foster has been Senior Professional at Fort Bend Tennis, Director of Tennis at Sienna Plantation, Director of Tennis for First Colony Community Association, and owner of Jack’s Tennis/She Strings (his wife Millie is a Master Racquet Technician and USRSA Tester). ADVERTISEMENT
Foster serves on two USTA Texas Section Committees, the Adult Tennis Council and the Adaptive Tennis Committee. He also served Texas Division USPTA as Convention Chairman, Education Chairman, and Diversity Chairman, and served on the organization’s National Education, Convention, Awards and Diversity Committees.
A USPTA Master Professional, Foster received the USPTA National Star Award in 2005. He also received the USPTA Texas Division Tester of the Year Award twice. In 2013, he was recognized with the George Bacso National Tester of the Year Award.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 16,000 members in 125 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and serving tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
