Since 1923, our mission to grow the sport has not wavered and remains more relevant than ever. With more than 1.3 million people playing tennis today in our region and another 1M interested, USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation is leading the way to increase access to the sport and chart a course for the next 100 years of tennis. Tennis continues to thrive in our region along with every individual and community that the sport touches.
From our early beginning a century ago, to where we are today increasing access to tennis for ALL, our story is built upon a strong foundation cultivated throughout our 100 year history. Tennis has never been stronger in the Mid-Atlantic than it is today.
CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION: A YEAR LIKE NO OTHER
USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation honored the 100th anniversary with a year-long Centennial Celebration that articulated our vision for the future of tennis, while saluting the impact of the sport, our rich history, and those who paved the way to help our nonprofit organization and tennis get to where it is today.
THE GALA
The Tennis Creates Gala is an inspiring annual celebration that brings the Mid-Atlantic community together to champion the life-changing impact of tennis. Guests come together to honor the stories, programs, and people who make the sport accessible, while raising vital support to expand opportunities for youth and communities across the region.

USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation Tennis Hall of Fame
The USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation Tennis Hall of Fame recognizes and honors individuals for their significant achievements or contributions to the sport of tennis. Awards are given to those who have distinguished themselves on or off the court as an outstanding player or contributor to the growth of tennis in the region and beyond.
With the likes of such tennis visionaries and leaders as Arthur Ashe and Donald Dell, to Pam Shriver and the Peters sisters, the USTA Mid-Atlantic Tennis Hall of Fame is a prestigious group of individuals with significant achievements and contributions to the sport.
