Bill Talbert Sportsmanship Award
PRESENTED AT
The USTA Semiannual Meeting and Conference
ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA
- A junior player in good standing who holds a current USTA Membership and is in good standing.
- The information submitted must be for play completed before the nominee's 19th birthday. The nominee must be 18 or under on January 1 of the year in which the award is being presented.
- A junior player who exemplifies the finest qualities of sportsmanship in tournament play and the finest traditions of the great sportspersons of tennis past and present. In evaluating the Bill Talbert Junior Sportsmanship Award nominations, the USTA Awards Committee will take into consideration only the information that pertains to the criteria of the award.
SELECTION PROCESS
Each USTA Section Association may submit a nominee meeting the above criteria. The Awards Committee then selects the recipient from the submissions received from each UTSA Section Association.
