Swing, Hit & Ace is USTA Midwest’s entry-level tennis program, designed to make it easy for new players to get started through fun, game-based learning using modified equipment.
Now, it’s easier than ever for local organizations and facilities to bring this program to communities.

Schools: Grow the game where kids are
Bring tennis directly into schools and drive traffic to your tennis programs
Free to schools
- Swing, Hit & Ace in Schools is a free, after-school program delivered on-site at schools, typically consisting of four to five sessions (with flexibility to add more if needed). Students also receive complimentary water bottles.
Equipment provided
- USTA Midwest provides a free equipment package to help you run the program, and it’s yours to keep for future use. The package includes 25 racquets, three dozen red balls and one roll of net tape, if needed.
Coach compensation
- USTA Midwest provides $30 per session in compensation, payable to the Community Tennis Association or directly to the coach. Total compensation is capped at $150 per new school program.
Adults: Build community through play
Create a welcoming, social entry point for adult beginners.
Swing, Hit & Ace for Adults makes it easy to introduce tennis to new players in a fun, welcoming environment, especially those who might not have tried tennis otherwise.
Pilot programs have shown strong community engagement, making this a proven way to build local interest, grow participation and create a pathway into your ongoing programs and adult leagues.
USTA Midwest manages all registration and administrative setup
- Section staff will set up registration through our online registration platform, Serve Tennis, and collect payment.
- USTA keeps a $5 head tax per player, and Serve Tennis keeps 3.5% + $.50. The remainder is sent back to the provider.
Equipment provided
- USTA Midwest will provide a free equipment pack to run the program. This equipment is yours to keep for future use! The equipment pack includes 16 racquets, three dozen red balls and one roll of net tape, if needed.
