The Callen Cup

The Callen Cup had previously been called the Southern Senior Cup. It was renamed by the USTA Southern Board of Directors in July 2021 for the late John Callen, who was USTA Southern Executive Director and COO for 33 years.

Results

Thanks to Joc Simmons and the facility staff at Huntsville Tennis Center who helped make The Callen Cup another success.

 

Georgia remained on top for the third year in a row, retaining in the Mildred Southern Cup (by a lead of 29 points), the Gil Stacy Cup (15 points) and winning the overall men's and women's divisions. The Peach State took five of the 10 division championships, with Tennesee winning two and Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina each taking one.

  • 1st: Georgia – 88 pts

  • 2nd: Tennessee – 59 pts

  • 3rd: North Carolina – 57 pts

  • 4th: Alabama – 49 pts
