Los lugareños obtienen premios de fin de año de ITA

La Asociación Intercolegial de Tenis (ITA) anunció los ganadores de los premios regionales de la División I masculina y femenina el lunes 15de mayo. Los ganadores del premio nacional se darán a conocer el martes 23de mayo. Nueva Inglaterra se llevó a casa nueve premios en total, que incluyeron jugadores, entrenadores y escuelas.

 

A continuación se muestra una lista de los ganadores de Nueva Inglaterra o que juegan colegiadamente en Nueva Inglaterra:

Entrenador del año de Wilson/ITA: Judy Dixon - Universidad de Massachusetts
Jugadora sénior del año de ITA: Taylor Ng - Dartmouth College
Premio ITA/Cissie Leary a la deportividad: Jacqueline Crawford - Dartmouth College
Premio ITA al Servicio Comunitario: Dartmouth College

    The Friendship Cup has a rich history and successful story of establishing international camaraderie and sisterhood both on and off the court. The tradition started in 1967 when Walter Foeger of Vermont was looking to establish competitive senior tennis play in alliance with the New England Lawn Tennis Association (NELTA), now USTA New England. He contacted George Barta of the Canadian senior division, and together, they created the Friendship Cup. In that year, players competed on three courts at the Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. Read More
