Resumen sobre canchas de arcilla para personas mayores
CONCORD, MA- El segundo de dos eventos del 10al13 de agosto concluyó el Campeonato Senior en tierra batida en el Concord Country Club en Concord, MA. Las canchas de arcilla también fueron el segundo de los tres Senior Slams que se llevaron a cabo en Nueva Inglaterra este verano.
El tercer y último evento será el Campeonato sobre césped y se llevará a cabo en el Salón de la Fama del Tenis Internacional en Newport del 8al11 de septiembre.
Las divisiones de individuales y dobles de 50s, 55s y 75s masculinos compitieron junto con las individuales de 80s y 85s masculino.

The Friendship Cup has a rich history and successful story of establishing international camaraderie and sisterhood both on and off the court. The tradition started in 1967 when Walter Foeger of Vermont was looking to establish competitive senior tennis play in alliance with the New England Lawn Tennis Association (NELTA), now USTA New England. He contacted George Barta of the Canadian senior division, and together, they created the Friendship Cup. In that year, players competed on three courts at the Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. Read More
