USTA Northern 

Title: Tennis in Your Park Instructor  

 

We are seeking part-time, seasonal Tennis Instructors to join our team. Instructors will be responsible for teaching tennis lessons to adults (Beginner to Intermediate skill levels) through City Park and Recreation Departments or Community Education.  The ideal candidate should have a passion for tennis and be able to create a fun and engaging environment for participants.

  • Lessons will take place at various park locations in the Twin Cities Metro Area. ADVERTISEMENT  
  • Lessons are offered in summer and/or fall.
  • Minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 10-12 students per class on 2 courts.
  • This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Pay range is $20 to $24 per hour.

Maple Grove Tennis Academy

Title: Tennis Instructor- Part Time/Summer 

Maple Grove Tennis Academy and USPTA pro, Brian Rusche, are seeking instructors responsible for teaching middle school and high school tennis players for the summer at the Maple Grove Senior High courts.

  • June 12-July 28. 
  • 6 week duration 
  • Mon-Fri, 8:15am-12:15pm 
  •  $18-$22/hr depending on experience.

Brackett Park Minneapolis

Title: Tennis Instructor - Part time/Seasonal

Brackett Park Minneapolis is seeking instructors that will be responsible for teaching tennis skills to youth ages 4 and older through instructional programs under the supervision of Brackett Park Recreation Supervisors.

  • 4-8 hours per week beginning week of June 10th through July 31st.
  • Instructing 2–4 class sessions per week.
  • Pay is $22 an hour 
  • Set Schedule is negotiable with court and Instructor availability.
  • This is a seasonal/contract position and is therefore temporary in nature. Position ends at the end of the season.

This person is responsible for conducting tennis lessons and programs for all ages and ability levels, as well as assisting the Tennis Coordinator with general tennis operations. Both on and off-court duties are required. This position will occasionally function as a Manager on Duty.

 

Qualifications:

  • USPTA or PTR certified is preferred.
  • Certified or willing to become certified in CPR/AED and standard first aid.
  • A four-year undergraduate degree in Physical Education, Recreation or a related field from an accredited institution is recommended.
  • At least two years of experience in tennis teaching/coaching and programming is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.

 

Salary: $40,100 - $60,100/ year
