“This class has made an incredible impact on tennis over the years,” said USTA Middle States President Wilson Pipkin. “Each individual has grown our sport and our USTA community. I’m excited that they are receiving this honor.”
Since its inception in 1994, 107 of tennis’ most influential players, coaches and volunteers have been inducted into the prestigious institution.
Former inductees into the Middle States Hall of Fame include tennis legend and women’s rights pioneer Billie Jean King, and former USTA Presidents Jane Brown Grimes, Dave Haggerty, Merv Heller, Judy Levering and Martin Tressel.
The USTA Middle States Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Auction takes place every two years and rotates among the Middle States districts.
The event provides an opportunity for all who love the game of tennis to celebrate the past and support the future.
Proceeds from the Middle States Hall of Fame benefit junior tennis programs and further tennis education objectives in Middle States, through the USTA Foundation. Those interested in more information about the event should contact USTA Middle States by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
