Workshop Faculty Member of the Year Award

The Next Generation: A Tennis Innovation Workshop 

 

ELIGIBILITY

Must be a current USTA national trainer.

CRITERIA

A trainer who promotes the growth of tennis through exemplary on-court training, assists the national office with the direction of this program, and is very well connected with his/her section’s efforts. The USTA Workshop Faculty Member of the Year Award recognizes a trainer that goes above and beyond to train coaches  and to promote tennis through on-court workshops.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

Nominations are accepted from on-court training section contacts for any trainer in his/her section that they feel has met the eligibility requirement.

HISTORY

The USTA Workshop Faculty Member of the Year Award was established in 2006.

 

YEARBOOK DESCRIPTION

USTA Recreational On-Court Training Workshops provide training and resources to coaches, instructors and parents working at the beginner to intermediate level in a group environment for players of all ages and populations, including special needs players. As a result of the workshop, coaches are armed with tools that will enable them to provide an informative and hands-on experience. The USTA recognizes a USTA national trainer who promotes the growth of tennis through exemplary on-court training, assists the national office with the direction of this program, and is very well connected with their Section’s efforts.
