Randy Ross, Class of 2026
A native of Indiana and a former player at Indiana State University, Randy moved to Denver in 1976 to begin a career in tennis, and has since become one of Colorado’s most influential tennis teaching professionals.
Randy served as tennis director at clubs throughout the Denver area, including 23 years at Colorado Athletic Club Inverness. During his tenure, he ran the Kid’s Cure for Cancer & Brent Eley Memorial Tournament, and co-founded and directed the Safeway Men’s Open, an ATP Tour event.
Devoting more than 25 years to Team Colorado, USTA Colorado’s premier junior excellence program, Randy helped produce many of the state’s best junior players, guiding athletes to collegiate, and professional ranks. From 1996 to 2021, Randy served as Head Boys High School Tennis Coach at Kent Denver School, leading the program to 10 state titles and establishing a tradition of excellence.
Randy opened the Randy Ross Tennis Center at the Inverness Hotel in 2012 and in 2020 fulfilled a longtime dream by developing, building and opening the Randy Ross Tennis Center, a premier six-court indoor tennis facility that serves players of all ages and abilities.
