USTA Northern California provides a diverse range of grants that aim to positively impact various individuals and organizations within our community. These valuable opportunities are offered at strategic intervals throughout the year, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to apply. In addition to these local grants, USTA National and the USTA Foundation also offer larger grants that encompass facility assistance, programming and other community resources.
USTA NorCal’s Adaptive tennis focuses on providing a tennis environment that supports and promotes programs and initiatives that meet the recreational needs of individuals with physical, mental or emotional challenges. People of any age, environment, social, intellectual or physical ability are invited to enjoy the game and apply for funding to support your needs.

USTA Northern California offers funding to assist or further expand community tennis activities as well as support the development of tennis in Northern California. All applicants that plan to promote and develop the growth of tennis in their respective communities and have met the necessary requirements are to be considered. CTA and Parks & Recreation grants are need-based and awarded depending on availability.

Coaching is a rewarding experience, allowing you to pass on the game to the next great players by helping them develop the skills they need to succeed. USTA NorCal offers funding to help you take your coaching to the next level.

The available grants are meant to assist high school tennis programs with supporting costs including tennis equipment (e.g., tennis balls, carts, ball mowers, windscreens), team uniforms and other ancillary costs associated with high school team tennis, and to promote tennis in the neighborhood or city where the high school is located.
The range of grant funding per high school is $500 to $1,000. Grant awards will be administered on a need basis. Priority will be given to Title I schools in which children from low-income families make up at least 40% of enrollment.
The application process will open for a period of time and will close once funds have been appropriated. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
The applicant must submit a letter of interest indicating the range of grant funding ($500 or $1,000). The letter of intent must describe the proposed activity the applicant will complete and how they will use grant funds.
*All submitters must be Safe Play approved before the grant can be awarded.

H.I.T.S. is a low-cost tennis program for kids 10 and under that incorporates the fundamentals of a team sport with life skills enrichment. With support from the USTA NorCal, H.I.T.S. is a fun and easy program that includes training and resources to run a tennis program at your tennis courts, blacktop or indoor gym. USTA NorCal offers grants designed to support individual athletes on their journey to success. These grants offer financial assistance, training opportunities, and resources to help you achieve your tennis goals.

USTA NorCal is dedicated to helping NJTL organizations provide free or low-cost tennis and education programming to under-resourced youth. Grants are available to help NorCal NJTLs support the overall well-being of youth including through academic enrichment, a life-skills curriculum and tennis development and opportunities.

USTA NorCal offers an incentive program to help promote the Pro Circuit tournament in your local NorCal community. This incentive funding must be used to enhance your tournament through community outreach and provide tennis-based activities as a way to promote community engagement.
Please review the specific funding requirements on the application to ensure eligibility for this incentive funding grant. This grant will fund up to $7,500. Funding will be granted after the completion of the tournament and the satisfaction of the requirements. Note: the funding amount will be determined by the number of required events completed.
A written accountability report and pictures will be required after the tournament to receive funding. Please submit it to: silva@norcal.usta.com.

USTA NorCal is committed to promoting and developing wheelchair tennis in communities throughout Northern California and Northwestern Nevada.
This stipend opportunity provides financial support to not-for-profit USTA Member Organizations that promote recreational or competitive programs which may include: tournaments, exhibitions, clinics or instructional camps for junior and adult wheelchair tennis players. Tennis programs that integrate wheelchairs for tennis players in activities with their peers, whether able-bodied or disabled, are encouraged to apply.
