Bellis Honored In Teen Vogue “21 Under 21” List

McCarton Ackerman | December 30, 2017

CiCi Bellis enjoyed plenty of milestone moments in 2017, including reaching her first two WTA semifinals in Mallorca and Stanford, scoring her first pair of Top 10 wins, and being named WTA Newcomer of the Year.

She’s now added one more before the year is over by being included in Teen Vogue’s “21 Under 21” list. Among the other worldwide honorees are Olympic swimmer Yusra Mardini, scientist Saanya Bhargava and aspiring astronaut Taylor Richardson.

“Whether in sports or school, if you really enjoy something and work hard at it, you can do whatever you want in the world,” said Bellis to the magazine.

Bellis will play her first tournament of the 2018 season at the Brisbane International in Brisbane, Australia. She’ll take on a qualifier in her opening round, with the winner to face No. 2 seed Karolina Pliskova.
