HOST A

FED CUP TIE

April 24, 2017

FED CUP TIE

With decades of rich tradition, Fed Cup is the premier team competition in women’s professional tennis as well as the largest annual women's international team competition in the world. The USTA oversees the United States’ participation in Fed Cup, including the organization of home ties.

Even though the U.S. Fed Cup Team is preparing to travel to Belarus to compete in the 2017 Fed Cup Finals, Nov. 11-12, we are looking for cities/venues interested in hosting future home tie.

Due to recent rule changes and enhancements to the worldwide Fed Cup competition, the U.S., as a 2017 finalist, has invoked its option to host the first-round home tie against the Netherlands, Feb. 10-11, 2018. The deadline to submit a bid to the USTA for that tie has now passed. The site selections will be announced during the week of Oct. ADVERTISEMENT 16.

If the U.S. defeats the Netherlands and Begium beats France, the U.S. would host Belgium in the semifinal, April 21-22, 2018. With a loss, the U.S. could still potentially host a tie against an opponent to be determined in the playoffs to take place on the same date. The playoff draw will take place Feb. 12.

You can download the RFP and bid documnet guidelines here.

Keep in mind the following deadlines:

Dec. 15, 2017: Deadline to notify the USTA of intent to bid.

Jan. 12, 2018: Deadline to submit bid to the USTA.

Week of Feb. 26, 2018: Anticipated date to announce site selection.
