The best teams of the Caribbean Section met in the finals of the Junior Team Tennis League held on May 18 and 19, 2019 at the Centro de Tenis Honda in Bayamón, PR.

 

This competition gathers players from different clubs, organizing them according to their age group and level of play: 14U Intermediate Level, 18U Intermediate Level and 18U Advanced Level.

 

In the final match of the 14 & under category, intermediate level, the team of Torrimar 1 - captained by Lewis Bachetti - was crowned as champion after their win over the team from Centro de Tenis Honda, lead by Gustavo Carrasquillo. The winning team was integrated by Daniela Olvera, Gabriel Cayere, Ian Arenas, Javier Ponsa, Kamila Correa, Lauren Ariza, Maria Castro, Natalia Ponsa, and Rafael Muñoz.

 

Also of intermediate level, but in the 18 & under age group; Roberto Leal and his team from Centro de Tenis Honda got the first place over the Caguas team, captained by Plinio Alfaro. ADVERTISEMENT Angel Matos, Christian Echevarria, Diego Rodriguez, Emma Nuñez, Gabriela Pérez, Jomar Torres, Kamila Lébron, Mariangelis Plumey, Milton Vargas, Roberto Agresar, Patricia Calderón, and Rafael Ferrer were the members of the champion team.

 

Finally, the 18U advanced team from Torrimar - also led by Lewis Bachetti - beat the team of Juan C. Saurí. The leading team was composed by Adriana Hiraldo, Andrea Marrero, Daniela Latoni, Gabriel Cestero, Hector Diaz, Jorge Quintana, Nicolas Alvarez, Sergio Andres Blanco, Sergio Antonio Blanco, and Yadalis Rodriguez.

 

The three teams that reached the championship will have the task of defending the Caribbean Section in the National Junior Team Tennis Competitions to be held in San Antonio, Texas, during November 2019.
