USTA Eastern: From New To Now

February 18, 2021

The USTA is dedicated to attracting, engaging and retaining new generations of diverse tennis participants. In pursuit of that mission, this past summer, we piloted the Find Your Level initiative in New Brunswick, New Jersey. With this program, we endeavored to make the sport as accessible as possible for anybody in the area who wanted to play, and also to promote the game's many health benefits to diverse communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Tennis instructors Curtiss Young and Larry Dillon provided low-cost lessons to all FYL participants, and as the weather got colder, local facilities, including the East Brunswick Racquet Club and the Warren Health and Racquet Club, welcomed these new players so that they could continue playing indoors. With our video series From New to Now, we'll follow these players through their journey in the sport.
