Event Details Revealed for 2024 Larry Turville Super Senior Grand Prix

Jaret Kappelman | November 16, 2023

As 2023 comes to an end, it’s time to prepare for some of the best senior events of the year. The Larry Turville Super Senior Grand Prix is right around the corner and registration is now open!

The tournaments’ namesake, Larry Turville, was a sensational tennis player, who, with the help of Armistead Neely, formed the World Association of Tennis Champions (WATCH) in 1971. WATCH is a Florida based tournament circuit that took place outside of the ATP. However, shortly after being created, WATCH and ATP worked together to award players with points and give them an opportunity to qualify for some mainstream tournaments.

In 1988, Turville helped form the Florida Super Senior Grand Prix , giving athletes 55 and older and chance to play for circuit points and prize money. Players compete for around three months to earn as many points as possible, like the format that WATCH used.
