Make an Impact on Florida Tennis Through GivingTuesday Fundraiser

Jaret Kappelman | November 22, 2022

During this Thanksgiving Season, USTA Florida is proud to continue their support toward rebuilding Florida tennis after the 2022 hurricane season left many cities in the state with devastating damage.  With your kindness and generosity, we can make strides to improve the sport throughout the state.

We are just a week away from GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. This year, USTA Florida Section Foundation will be raising money that will go toward the USTA Florida Hurricane Relief Fund. The official date of GivingTuesday, is November, 29.

During this giving season, keep in mind what tennis has given to you throughout your life. If you have ever had the chance to pick up a tennis racket or rally with friends, take that feeling and imagine how others can feel with tennis in their life.

Unfortunately, some people are struggling to enjoy the sport right now as Hurricane Ian and Nicole came through a great portion of Florida and devastated parts of the state. You can be a vital part in restoring tennis in these communities and putting people back on courts.

Tennis saw a massive spike in players following the COVID-19 Pandemic and we want to continue its growth. The USTA Florida Foundation set its mission to support grassroot tennis, and with a little generosity from the community, we can continue to grow the game and introduce new people to the sport.

No matter how big or small a donation is, every penny will help put a smile on someone’s face as they get to grip a racket and whack a tennis ball across the court.
