Board of Directors Candidates Selected

The USTA Mid-Atlantic Nominating Committee selected three candidates to serve as at-large members of the USTA MAS Board of Directors for the two-year term commencing Jan. 1, 2018. Nominating Committee Chair Sally Travis communicated the selections to USTA Mid-Atlantic President Don Paitrick on Oct. 1. The candidates are:

 

At-Large, term expiring December 31, 2019 – Kathy Renzetti

At-Large, term expiring December 31, 2019 – Ron Rosenbaum

At-Large, term expiring December 31, 2019 – Eleni Rossides

 

Eleni Rossides

Over the past 13 years, Eleni Rossides served as President of the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, a non-profit organization serving the neediest children in Washington, DC, dedicated to building life champions through tennis and academic excellence. She effectively led the multi-site organization with a 50-member board, diverse programs and stakeholders as well as helped raise approximately $45 million cumulatively, including $10 million in a capital campaign to fund a new tennis and education center in Southeast DC. ADVERTISEMENT Prior to working at WTEF, she earned her MBA from Northwestern Universities’ Kellogg School of Management and worked as a business strategy consultant at McKinsey and Company. Eleni played on Stanford University’s tennis team and competed on the WTA pro tour on for ten years. She is a current board member of American Hellenic Institute Foundation, helping the organization increase funds raised through their events and annual giving.

 

Kathy Renzetti

Kathy Renzetti has 23 years’ experience working in small to mid-sized organizations with 15 years’ experience focused on healthcare philanthropy. She excels at working with boards, staff and volunteers of mission-driven organizations to deliver on strategic objectives from concept to implementation. She provides a global and strategic perspective to association and development professionals with regards to fundraising best practice, donor privacy, stewardship, and transparency and accountability; as well as association management and board leadership. Renzetti earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has been a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) since 2005 and earned her CAE in 2009. In 2006, she attended the invitation-only ASAE Future Leaders Conference. She was a member of the Public Policy Committee of the Independent Sector from 2013-2015. She has written articles on critical success factors in development.

 

Ron Rosenbaum

Ron Rosenbaum is the Chief Global Marketing & Business Development Officer at ASIS International, a professional Association recognized as the global leader in security information, education, certification and standards. Ron is a 20-year association management veteran who possesses significant global executive management, communications, marketing, business development, and trade show management experience. He earned his BA from George Mason University and his MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining ASIS International, Ron was the COO of the American Gaming Association where he grew revenues nearly 60%, managing a diversified portfolio of products and services. Prior to this, Ron was the Senior VP, Marketing and Development, for the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, and the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications for the Club Managers Association of America. Ron was also part of the USTA/MAS staff between 1998-2001. Ron is an avid sportsman and tennis enthusiast and lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife, Nancy, and their two daughters.
