USTA MID-ATLANTIC TO HOLD CAMRY FAMILY DAY POWERED BY NET GENERATION WITH CITI OPEN

 

USTA Mid-Atlantic and the Citi Open® Tennis Tournament and will host Camry Family Day Powered by Net Generation on Sunday, July 30 at the Rock Creek Tennis Center from 10 AM to noon. The event was previously scheduled for Saturday, July 29 but has been moved due to inclement weather.

 

All children under the age of 10 will receive a complimentary reserved ticket for Session 2 at Citi Open. The first 1,000 kids will also receive a lunch voucher courtesy of Guest Services, Inc. Net Generation is the USTA’s new youth tennis brand designed to inspire the next generation of tennis players. For the first time, tennis in America will have one unified youth brand in order to better connect kids and parents and grow the sport. The Camry Family Day Powered by Net Generation will have special appearances by ATP World Tour and WTA players and feature on-court tennis activities and games for all ages and skill levels in a fun festival-like atmosphere. A DJ, face painter, Zumba class, PetConnect Rescue adoptions, balloon makers, and a mascot challenge will round out the event.  

 

Times for Family Day activities are as follows:

 

  • USTA Mid-Atlantic Play Event: 10 AM to 11:30 AM
  • PetConnect Rescue: 10 AM to 1 PM
  • Zumba Class: 11 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Mascot Challenge: 11:30 AM to 12 PM

Throughout the summer, USTA will host Net Generation events including kids’ days, high school days, family days, and festivals to encourage more kids and families to join the sport. These community engagement events serve as a lead-up to the official Net Generation brand launch at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day Powered by Net Generation at the US Open on August 26.

 

Additionally, Net Generation will be integrated throughout Citi Open including the Net Generation Play Zone. This area of three clay courts is where kids, adults and families can participate in a variety of tennis events all tournament long as well as special clinics and camps. USTA Mid-Atlantic will host open drop in hours for fans to test their tennis skills as they experience Citi Open and watch exciting matches.
