Serve It Forward Awards 2020

May 28, 2020

Each year, USTA Mid-Atlantic turns to the tennis community to nominate outstanding members, players, and providers deserving of recognition as part of the Section’s Awards Program. 2020 has already proven to be a year unlike any other with challenges we’ve never experienced before. Yet there is no shortage of individuals and organizations from our region that have stepped up to help keep the community connected and healthy through tennis during the pandemic.

This inspired USTA Mid-Atlantic to take the annual Section awards program in a different direction. Introducing the 2020 #ServeItForward Awards.

The 2020 USTA Mid-Atlantic #ServeItForward Awards aims to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to serve the community, their neighbors, and/or their teammates during the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards program aligns with the new #ServeItForward campaign recently launched in the Mid-Atlantic to support tennis and celebrate the power of the sport to improve lives.

Nominations are now OPEN and can be made through this form. We encourage you to submit multiple nominations for any and all deserving individuals and organizations that meet the criteria listed below for the awards categories. And don’t forget to share and encourage others to nominate as well!

The deadline for submitting nominations is July 1. An internal award committee will review nominations and select winners who will be presented their award in a virtual award ceremony live on Facebook.

For questions and more information, please contact Megan Driscoll at driscoll@mas.usta.com.
