USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation Hosts Successful Mubadala Citi DC Open Kids' Day, Presented by Children’s National Hospital, Inspiring the Next Generation of Tennis Players
Washington, D.C., [Sunday, July 28, 2024] - The USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation, along with the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, and sponsors successfully hosted the Mubadala Citi DC Open Kids' Day, presented by Children's National Hospital on Saturday, July 27, 2024. With over 240 children in attendance, USTA MAF introduced tennis to children from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
On Stadium Court at the Mubadala Citi DC Open, kids took part in various tennis drills emphasizing the importance of practice, warming up, and becoming familiar with tennis motions. The highlight of the day was the opportunity for participants to meet and play with professional players competing in the Mubadala Citi DC Open, including Victoria Azarenka and J.J. Wolf.
The 2024 Mubadala Citi DC Open Kids' Day, presented by Children's National Hospital, was a success thanks to the support of staff and volunteers. A special thank you to the sponsors of the event, including Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, Children’s National Hospital, Mubadala Citi DC Open and Mighty Meals. Mighty Meals donated lunch for all the children after the event.
