You could say Robbie Dimond was destined to become a tennis player.
Her mother was a state champion in Nevada. Her father, a state champion in California, once beat Bobby Riggs. Her brother, Dennis Ralston, is one of the more recognizable names in tennis.
Dimond has plenty of lines on her tennis resume, as well.
Dimond is captaining the 70s and the 80s Middle States Addie Cup team, while also playing other events as much as possible.
She won a National doubles title in Hawaii. She’s won Gold Balls (the most recent coming two years ago in the 75+ Division). She’s been a coach at Temple University and Germantown Academy.
The list goes on and on.
“This sport has created so many great friendships for me,” she said. “Competing with some of my best friends over many years is something that I could never have done without Tennis.”

Although Dimond hasn’t played singles in over 20 years, she credits the game for keeping her mentally and physically healthy throughout the years.
“I think tennis keeps you healthy and happy for as long as you can walk,” she said.
