Player Development Camp
Last month, the Midwest Section organized a player development camp at the University of Notre Dame. Some of our 12U boys and girls from across the section were invited to participate and learn from high-performance coaches, Jeri Ingram and Bryan Smith.
Coach Appreciation Month
October was Coach Appreciation Month! To celebrate, we shined a spotlight on Basit Syed, who many of our Junior Team Tennis players know from our USTA Chicago District. Syed is the 2025 recipient of our Cap Leighton – Teaching Professional Award. Not only does he encourage players to view tennis as an individual and team sport, but he develops businesses to meet any gaps in his tennis community.
