Midwest / Mid-South Illinois

Programming Update

November 17, 2020

Due to the high increase in the COVID-19 cases in all 11 EMS regions in the state of Illinois, the state has implemented Tier 3 mitigations effective Friday, November 20, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. View details here.

With the health and safety of the Mid-South tennis community as our top priority, MSITA is pausing all USTA programming including Junior Team Tennis, adult and junior tournaments, USTA Adult Leagues and social leagues until Tier 3 mitigations are lifted. Tennis is recognized as a low-risk sport that can be played safely if precautions are followed. The USTA has released updated Safety Guidelines that can be found here

We look forward to the return of competitive tennis play in the Mid-South. Stay healthy and safe over the holidays.
