July 2026 Northern Indiana News
Despite the summer heat, July is shaping up to be an exciting month for USTA Northern Indiana. Adult leagues are in full swing, Junior Team Tennis is gearing up for district competition and players across the district continue to make their mark on the court. Read below for league updates, upcoming tournaments and recent championship highlights.
Adult League Update
Fort Wayne has successfully launched its first-ever 40 & Over 3.0 Men's League, thanks to the dedication of Local League Coordinator Frank Suarez.
After identifying more than 60 potential players, Frank personally reached out to gauge interest and encourage participation. Through multiple follow-up conversations and plenty of persistence, the effort resulted in 27 players competing on two teams during the league's inaugural weekend.
Starting a new league takes commitment from both organizers and players, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make this new opportunity possible. Their participation strengthens adult tennis in Fort Wayne and helps continue growing the game throughout Northern Indiana.
