Several of the USTA Gold Balls awarded at the USTA 30s National Hard Court Championship were earned by players from the USTA Missouri Valley. The event was held at the Plaza Tennis Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Anthony Perkins of Lenexa, Kansas and Thiago Santos of Olathe, Kansas, teamed up to win the men's doubles division defeating Tyler Browne of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Colin Foster of Wichita, Kansas. Santos then joined Michelle Hall of Overland Park, Kansas, to win the mixed doubles division.
Browne defeated Foster in the men's singles final, while Jessica Sucupira of Riverview, Florida won the women's singles division which was round-robin play.
Sucupira joined Erin Fleming of Dallas to win the women's doubles division. And Jill Machovsky and Mary Phlanz, both of Overland Park, Kansas, also earned Bronze Balls.

A total of 35 players from ten states participated in the event. It was the first year Kansas City hosted the USTA 30s National Hard Court Championship.
