Battle of the Mississippi Intersectional Results
The inaugural L2 Battle of the Mississippi Intersectional junior tournament commenced July 15-18 at three separate sites in three sections - including USTA Missouri Valley.
The sections duked it out for a chance at the traveling trophy - rewarded to the section earning the most points across all three tournaments. Each round won is one point towards the section totals. Points were then calculated between the four age divisions.
USTA Northern hosted the 12-14s in Indianapolis, while USTA Midwest held 14s in Minneapolis. USTA Missouri Valley welcomed 18s to Edmond, Oklahoma.
The tournament was a dominant duo format - with one boy and girl per team. The teams played two gendered singles matches following a mixed doubles match.
Congratulations to USTA Midwest for taking home the traveling trophy!
