Celebrating Parks & Recreation Month

July is Parks and Recreation Month, so USTA Missouri Valley would like to celebrate all the parks in our section that are USTA members. Parks are an integral part of the tennis ecosystem across the country and our section is no exception. According to the Physical Activity Council's Study on Sports and Activity, 50% of all tennis play in our section occurred in public parks in 2021.

 

On top of the play already occurring in parks, USTA Missouri Valley is excited to offer a Tennis in the Parks program for the first time in 2022. This program offers affordable and accessible tennis for beginner tennis players.

 

USTA Missouri Valley also offers grants that local parks and recreation departments can take advantage of to help afford equipment and more.
