Jones Earns ITF Top Rank
After winning five Gold Ball Tournaments in 2019, Wilbur Jones (pictured far left) from Shawnee, Kansas, has made his way to the top of the ITF’s 80+ Men’s Doubles Rankings.
Jones has represented the USTA Heart of America at the international level many times and done so very well, winning every gold ball doubles tournament offered at his age group last year.
KMBC recently did a feature on Jones and his story, including how he's staying sharp despite not having been on a court in months. Check it out to read more and watch the video on him. He has accomplished much in the tennis world, and was inducted into the USTA Missouri Valley Hall of Fame in 2016.
