Local After School Program Bringing Tennis to Kids
Summer is almost over and camps are coming to a close, but Lob & Learn is ready for another great school year with programs this fall!
Lob & Learn is a Kansas City-based program who believes each child deserves an equal opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. The organization aims to provide tennis as a way for children to develop confidence, character and connections.
Lob & Learn practices are after school and weekends at no charge. Lob & Learn also provides tennis programming in PE classroom curriculum within the Kansas City Center School district.
Confidence, Character, and Connections. These words are the three key C's at the root of the program. No one should miss out on the fun of tennis or the opportunity to gather valuable life skills.
No equipment? No problem. Lob & Lean will supplies students with everything needed, along with student athlete mentoring. The organization is also looking to expands its offerings to even more youth.
“In 2021 Lob & Learn is going nationwide with our Kid’s Day US Tour of Tennis. We just finished up at the Truist Atlanta Open and will be headed to New York City for our Kid’s Day during the US Open,” said Marc Stultz, founder of Lob & Learn.
Stulz also noted the organization’s holiday fundraiser.
“We will be having our Annual Youth Holiday Celebration Kids Day on December 11, 2021 in Kansas City, hosted by Elite Tennis and Wellness in Overland Park, Kansas and we are partnering with Kansas City’s Stephanie Waterman Foundation ‘It’s a Racquet’ for this event also,” Stultz said.
The Lob & Learn program has a lot to look forward to this year. Not to mention, the numerous opportunities you have to contribute and support the organization.
