There Are TONS of Opportunities to Play Tennis This Summer–Here Are a Few of Them!

Much like the outdoor temperatures, the 2022 USTA Heart of America summer league season is heating up! There are ample opportunities for adult players to hit the courts for league play all across our section over the next few months, and we have some info for you on a few you might be interested in. Check it out below!

Mixed leagues

If you’ve been thinking about joining an 18 & Over or 55 & Over Mixed league this summer, don’t wait–the season is rapidly approaching, and you’ll need to sign up before matches begin! 18 & Over Mixed will be kicking off later this month, while 55 & Over will run through August. New league alert: 40 & Over Upper-Level Tri

Attention upper-level (4.5-5.0) 40 & Over players: we’re launching an all-new league that you won’t want to miss! This non-advancing Tri-Level League will feature one court with two 5.0 players, one court with a 5.0 and a 4.5 player, and one court with two 4.5 players. We’re still hashing out when and where this league will take place; however, if you’re interested, please reach out to Deb Fabrizius by emailing littlesade@hotmail.com. Social Tennis Ladders

These days, it seems like we’re always on the go. And if you’d love to play in a social league this summer but would prefer some flexibility in when and where you play, you’ll want to check out the many social tennis ladders taking place all around our district! These tennis ladders are a fun way to socialize, get exercise, and a way to fit your favorite sport into your busy life. Tennis Kansas City and Play Your Court are two options.  A third alternative is KC Tennis Ladders.  This is a virtual group uses the TennisRungs website to challenge other players to matches.  You can find out more by emailing kctennisladders2@gmail.com.
