USTA National Husband & Wife Doubles Tournament and Family Championship Happening Soon

It’s a family affair! Later this month, the USTA National Husband & Wife Doubles Tournament and the USTA Missouri Valley Family Championship will bring families together for summer days full of friendly competition that’s sure to strengthen your family bond.

 

First up is the Level 2 USTA National Husband & Wife Doubles Tournament, taking place June 17-19 at Overland Park Racquet Club. This indoor tournament is open to all USTA members, with events for husband and wife teams of a wide range of ages and ratings. No advance qualification is necessary–just bring your partner and prepare to have fun! Lunch or dinner will be provided for Friday matches. If you’re interested in playing, you’ll need to act fast: registration closes June 7 at 4:59 p.m. CDT, so click here to sign up today!

 

Next is the Level 4 USTA Missouri Valley Section Family Championship, which runs parallel with the previous tournament from June 17-18, and also at Overland Park Racquet Club. This is not an NTRP tournament, so these matches won’t count for points toward your NTRP Ranking. 

 

The Family Championship is available to Open-level players in the following pairings:

 

  • Father-Son Doubles

  • Grandfather-Grandson Doubles

  • Same gender male couples

  • Mother-Daughter Doubles

  • Same gender female couples

  • Father-Daughter Doubles

  • Husband-Wife Doubles

  • Mother-Son Doubles
