Volunteers Needed
Looking for the perfect opportunity to give back to the game of tennis in your area? Kansas City Public School District's East High School's Girls Tennis team needs the help of volunteers during team practices this season.
Tennis coach Michael King is calling volunteers with the skills and ability to assist with on-court drills, activities, and skill development to assist in running practices this fall. Volunteers should also have the ability and desire to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
Practices begin on August 12, 2019 and will run through October 11, 2019 at the Penn Valley Park tennis courts (just behind Penn Valley Community College). Practices will be every Monday–Friday from 3:00–5:00 PM, but volunteers are free to choose one or more days each week as it fits within their schedules.
If you're a tennis coach that has a high school team seeking out community service hours, a distributor looking to grow the game at the high school level, a young coach trying to gain experience, or just a player wanting to give back to the game of tennis, contact Michael King by email at mking@kcpublicschools.org or by phone at 816-385-2180.
